Even though we use different approaches and models, the basis of our work is contained through the Leadership Circle® model. In it, we find a long sought-after answer to the question
Why some leaders are good, while others are outstanding?
We believe that the Leadership Circle® (LC) is the most convincing answer to the question about the essence of leadership. It describes certain attitudes and behaviours, which have a direct effect (both positive, as well as negative) on the effectivness of Leaders. LC places Leaders’ skills and competences in their internal system of beliefs, leading them to the reflection:
Is what I believe in true?

| What impact does it have on my behaviour? |
Does it still support me?
How do I want to think about it now?
What is the Leadership Circle® about?
There are two kinds of energy which fuel leaders’ actions:
“I-play-to-not-lose” and “I-play-to-win”.
Even though some may find it hard to believe, most leaders work in „I-play-to-not-lose” mode. They achieve their business goals, but in order to do so, they pay a high price. It can be avoided though, and thanks to that effectively increasing their business effectiveness.
Such leaders’ behaviours are called “reactive tendencies”, i.e. automatic, uncontrolled reactions to the independent, and often unaware stimuli.
„How to write it in a way, that everyone likes it?” Questions as such are surely asked by leaders, whose main trait is in the area of Complying. The imperative of being liked and accepted often entails the need to fit in by force, by ignoring one’s own needs, own beliefs, or refusing to proceed with one’s own morals. The priority for such leaders is fulfilling other people’s expectations, following their needs, even if it means losing out on the needs of one’s own. However, it is also an asset – it also means sensitivity to other people’s feelings, and the skill of noticing their needs, loyalty, and support for others.
This is an area, where the priority lays with keeping a safe distance – an interaction that is too close, show of emotions, or own weakness all present a threat. What kind? The threat in this area is mainly found in others. Thinking that they are not good enough to be close to me. Or that by getting close they will see more than I would like them to. An asset of leaders in this area is logical thinking, knowledge, fair decision-making skills, and independence. However, they also have a secret weapon – distance, arrogance, or being overly critical. All so that a safe distance is kept.
Leaders working in the „I-play-to-win” zmodel often reach further for less.
They simultaneously create a balance around them and stay in that balance themselves.
One can clearly observe creative competences. ” in them. The point, as well as the effect, of their involvement is the creation of a reality that they, their teams, and their companies need and want to function in.
This dimension describes the skill of connection building and caring for them. It is sensitivity to the other human – ensuring that everyone feels seen and important. People focus around a goal that they perceive as common. It’s a skill of building above differences, hearing the others, growing, and not just giving advice.
It is acknowleging one’s strong points and areas that need further development. It is the striving to become better. It’s the difference between knowledge and wisdom. It’s thinking in the “us” category, as most successes are achieved together. It’s an area, where we find balance, while being fully aware that that balance is not necessarily 50-50. After all what is heavier – a pound of iron, or a pound of feathers?
This dimension describes what you show to the world, and how you do it. It shows your face without any masks and filters. Your spine and abdomen, without any corsets (the will to fit in) or shields (the urge to fight). Your courage of telling the untold and dealing with controversial and uncomfortable decisions. It’s the cohesion of your actions and your beliefs. It’s the truth about you – like a fingerprint.
Systems Awareness starts from the acknowledgement of their existence. It’s about being aware that you are not a lonely island, and your actions (or lack thereof) influence your surroundings. Who is affected by your decisions? Anyone else? What do you consider when deciding? Who wins and who loses? Does anyone have to lose? What is happening around you? What is happening around your coworkers? Around your team, or the whole company?
„Logic will always take you from point A to point B. Imagination will take you anywhere”. In this area, we find the magical mix of logic and imagination, as seen through vision and strategy, setting the goals and taking the next steps. Here we find inspiration and tips on how to proceed. It's a magnet which brings you closer, and a light which shows the way. Here, a success has a finite shape.
